About

Privacy without the promises

We route value through Monero when privacy matters. We aggregate liquidity when speed matters. We tell you which is which.

Not a company. Not a movement.

Drifty is an interface to public crypto infrastructure. We don't custody your funds. We don't build a brand around privacy theater. We don't ask you to trust marketing copy.

We offer two honest products: Private Swap routes value through Monero to break simple blockchain links. Fast Swap uses direct aggregators with no privacy claims. The quote page shows both. You pick the trade-off.

No accounts. No JavaScript dependencies. No venture narrative. Just working software for when exchange KYC is friction you'd rather avoid.

Who runs this?

Anonymous operators. We don't use this platform to build personal brands or collect social proof. Our reputations aren't the security model.

You don't need to know our names. You need to know what happens to your swap: where it routes, what gets logged, what we can and cannot honestly claim about unlinkability.

If that's not enough, run your own instance. The software is designed for self-hosting. Your threat model might require it.

Two routes, one honest choice

Most services claim privacy without explaining the actual mechanism. We show you the path. Private Swap takes time and uses Monero's protocol-level privacy. Fast Swap is direct aggregation with no privacy layer.

You choose based on your threat model, not our marketing claims.

Private Swap (with delay)

Routes through Monero to break simple on-chain links. Your input converts to XMR, sits in the mixing layer with timing randomization, then forwards to your destination. Not perfect, but honest about what it does.

  1. Your coin
  2. DEX leg
  3. Monero mix
  4. Outbound leg
  5. Destination

Fast: ~30 minutes  |  Private: 3-12 hours (longer delays resist timing analysis)

Fast Swap

Single-hop aggregator route. No Monero detour, no timing delays, no unlinkability claims. Faster execution, usually cheaper. What you see on the blockchain is what happened.

  1. Your coin
  2. Aggregator
  3. Destination

Typical time: ~5 minutes

What we store (and what we can't)

Swap interfaces promise "no logs" while storing everything to make the service work. We're explicit about operational requirements and real constraints.

While your swap is active

  • Session state: assets, amounts, deposit address, execution status. We need this to route your trade.
  • Encrypted fields: your destination address encrypted at rest. Server holds ciphertext; you unlock it with your private key from the swap URL.
  • Error logs: technical diagnostics when things break. Not behavioral tracking.

After completion

  • Scrubbed. Private keys aren't kept readable on the server. Completed sessions get purged.
  • No long-term database. No KYC dossiers, no marketing profiles, no "know your customer" theater.
  • No third-party analytics. No ad pixels. No Google Tag Manager. No invisible surveillance partners.

Reality check: Public network APIs (aggregators, DEXs) still see your receiving address when building quotes. That data transits to upstream providers whether you use Private or Fast Swap. We route through their infrastructure. We don't control what they log.

What this protects against (and what it doesn't)

Privacy tools market "military-grade anonymity" without defining the threat model. That's advertising, not security. Here's what Drifty actually does - and where it fails.

Defends against

  • Direct blockchain surveillance of your deposit to payout (Private Swap, especially with longer delays).
  • Plaintext destination storage on the server (encrypted session keys you control).
  • Casual web tracking via cookies, scripts, and analytics pixels (we don't load them).

Does not defend against

  • State-level adversaries with exchange access, compromised wallets, or global blockchain correlation.
  • Aggregator metadata on Fast Swap routes (it's a direct pass-through with no privacy layer).
  • Operational visibility at Drifty or upstream providers during in-flight swaps. We see session state.
  • User OPSEC failures: address reuse, identity linking across sessions, pattern-of-life correlation.

What we don't do

  • No pooled balances. Swaps route on public networks; Monero paths use operational wallets only for forwarding.
  • No accounts. No KYC flow in this interface.
  • No JavaScript required. All features work with scripts disabled.
  • No tracking. No ad pixels, tag managers, or third-party CDNs.
  • No hidden browser state. Progress lives in shareable URLs, not cookies.

What travels to third parties

Public network APIs need your receiving address, assets, and amounts to build quotes.

Drifty doesn't run KYC, but third-party venues may have AML controls. We warn you before you confirm.

Technical error logs may exist. No marketing profiles. For maximum privacy, access over Tor.

Transparent pricing (no hidden spreads)

Most swap interfaces hide their take in the spread or bury it in "network costs." We show the fee breakdown on every quote card. You see what you're paying before you commit.

  • Route fees — Upstream provider spread plus network overhead. Live pricing at quote time, not cached estimates from yesterday.
  • Drifty fee — Our service share, shown separately (applies when using Drifty routing). No hidden markups.
  • Total cost — The sum on the route card when pricing is available. Private and Fast routes differ because they use different providers and execution paths.

Slippage appears as a separate line when the upstream provider includes it. Dollar amounts are estimates from spot prices at quote time. Crypto markets move. Final execution may differ.
